GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers need to brush up on their Portuguese. The team confirmed Wednesday it’s playing its first game in Brazil.
The Packers will play the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paolo on Friday, Sept. 6. That’s the day after the NFL season opener.
It’s the first NFL game to be played in South America.
The NFL announced in February that the Eagles would play at Corinthians Arena.
Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy told Action 2 Sports, as he departed on a statewide Tailgate Tour, that he expected a decision “soon” on whether the Packers would be their opponent.
