The blockbuster trade which sent Davante Adams will have a significant impact on Green Bay’s roster building strategy ahead of the 2022 season, as Brian Gutekunst sets about filling the 17-shaped hole which has been left in his wide receiver room.
But the trading of the league’s best wide receiver has also put the Packers in a unique draft position, after collecting two premium picks from the Raiders.
As a result of the move, Green Bay now has two first round picks and two second round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. The last time the Packers held that kind of draft capital was in 1967.
