The New York Jets will open up the season at San Francisco in Week 1 of the regular season, which means that former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will make his return to Northern California with a second NFL franchise. Rodgers will forever be tied to the area, not just because he played college football for Cal, but because the San Francisco 49ers twice were interested in his services, but were unable (or unwilling) to add him.
