Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers joined the NFL Countdown crew during the aftermath of the cancelled Hall of Fame game on ESPN Sunday night. While he had some great exchanges with former Packers defensive back Charles Woodson, the potentially big news Rodgers dropped had to do with injured players Jordy Nelson and Jared Cook.
Both players opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list and neither have practiced yet. Nelson is recuperating from a second knee injury and Cook is recovering after foot surgery.
Rodgers told the crew he expects them back this week, which we noted on Twitter Sunday evening.
