Aaron Rodgers shouts out Packers’ Jordan Love for new extension

The recent extension of Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love feels like an era of quarterback insecurity is over. Beginning with Love’s selection in the first round of the 2020 draft, questions instantly began to pop up about just how many years then-starter Aaron Rodgers would continue to play for the franchise. For three years, Packers fans endured the will-he, won’t-he saga, in regards to Rodgers, a potential trade request or a threat of retirement.

Once Rodgers was sent to the New York Jets in exchange for draft picks, the landscape pivoted. Then the question was whether or not Love had what it took to be the team’s next franchise quarterback and what the team would do with his fifth-year option, considering that he only had one start under his belt at the deadline for that contract mechanic.
