When the University of Maryland, Baltimore County beat Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night they totally screwed my bracket. Yes, I had Dick Bennett’s boy Tony winning it all. Of course, they also made history as the first No. 16 seed to beat a No. 1.
A big part of that win was Whitefish Bay’s Joe Sherburne, who finished with 14 points and six rebounds. And then there was the moment where he nailed the three early in the second half to put UMBC up 27-21 and then did Aaron Rodgers’ belt move.
