GREEN BAY – The end came so swiftly, so unexpectedly, Aaron Jones never had any sense of closure.
The last time he walked out of Lambeau Field was Jan. 7. His Green Bay Packers had just beaten the Chicago Bears to clinch a stunning playoff berth. Jones was the catalyst, rushing for 111 yards on 22 carries, adding another 30 yards on five receptions. He’d never been better than late last season.
Of course, he thought, this wouldn’t be the last time he’d walk out of Lambeau Field wearing a Packers jersey.
