In case you haven’t heard, running the ball is important to Matt LaFleur. Some might even say it’s the foundation of the offense. In fact, LaFleur says that. But the Packers are good at it. That was true before LaFleur arrived, it was just Mike McCarthy regarded the run game the way a toddler regards a toy: if it doesn’t work the first time, abandon it for an indeterminate length of time. In order for Green Bay to max out this season, LaFleur’s team will have to not only do well what it did well last season, but also improve in some key areas.
