The Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks face off on Sunday Night Football, in what should be a great game. The Packers are looking to improve to 2-0 after defeating the Chicago Bears in Week 1, while the Seattle Seahawks are hoping to bounce back after falling to the St. Louis Rams. So who will come out victorious? Here's our preview and prediction.
Packers Outlook:
The Packers are without Bryan Bulaga for at least a month, which is a big blow to an offense that already lost Jordy Nelson. Aaron Rodgers will still keep the Packers involved in every game they play. The defense limited Jay Cutler and the Bears' passing attack, but had issues stopping the ground game. They could run into the same issues against the Seahawks. The Packers' offense ran the ball more than it threw it in Week 1, but that could be an issue against a Seattle defense that shut down the Rams' ground game.
Seahawks Outlook:
Seattle should have beaten the Rams last week. A couple of things didn't go their way, but that could change this week. Russell Wilson was asked to do a lot and Seattle should try to run the ball more this week. The defense shut down the Rams' ground game, but had some issues stopping the air attack. Nick Foles isn't anywhere near as good as Rodgers is, so that could be an issue this week.
What To Watch For: Offensive Lines
Seattle's offensive line struggled in Week 1 and they could have more issues this week. The Packers are without Bulaga, and that could be a major issue against a very good Seattle front seven. The team that gives better offensive line play will have a huge advantage.
Prediction: Packers Win 27-24
It's a close, hard-fought contest, but Aaron Rodgers is able to give the Packers their second win of the season. Richard Sherman shuts down one Packer WR, but Rodgers gets the ball to the other weapons he has. The Seahawks drop to 0-2, but they won't stay winless for long.
