For the first time in 20 months, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jared Abbrederis is set to play a live football game.
Abbrederis tore his ACL before the first preseason game last year and missed most of training camp this season with a concussion. He returned to practice Tuesday and is glad to paly again.
“I’m excited,” Abbrederis told the Packers' website. “I’ve been in the playbook, all that kind of stuff. Mentally, I’m there and, physically, today was a good day to get back out there and see where I’m at.”
Abbrederis is behind Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, Ty Montgomery and Jeff Janis on the Packers' WR depth chart. With Jordy Nelson out for the season, Abbrederis might make the roster as the team's fifth WR.
