The Green Bay Packers are trying to resign defensive lineman Mike Daniels, but it appears contract talks between the two sides have broken off.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers and Daniels are far apart on the terms of the deal.
Daniels wants a contract in $10 million per year range, while the Packers' offer is several million dollars less that that.
The salary cap will rise over the next few seasons and a $10 million contract would make Daniels among the top 15 highest paid defensive lineman.
Daniels told the Journal Sentinel he's letting his agent do all the work.
"That's his job," Daniels said. "That's why I hired him, and I have full confidence in him. I do my job. He does his job."
