The 2016 NFL Hall of Fame Game will feature the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts. The Packers made the announcement Tuesday afternoon, although it doesn't come as much of a surprise.
The game is set for 7 p.m., Sunday, August 7th in Canton, Ohio. The game will kickoff the NFL preseason and will take place the day after the 2016 Hall of Fame induction. It's the first time the Packers have played in the Hall of Fame game since 2003.
Former Packers QB Brett Favre and former Colts coach Tony Dungy and WR Marvin Harrison will be inducted, making the Colts and Packers the obvious picks for the game. The two teams will also meet in the regular season, although that schedule has not yet been announced.
Playing in the Hall of Fame game gives both teams an extra preseason game and an extended training camp. The team will play five preseason games instead of the usual four and wil opening training camp nearly a week early.
