In today's Packers rumors, ESPN writer Rob Demovsky answered questions in a recent mailbag about what direction he thinks the Packers will go with their draft strategy during the 2014 NFL Draft.
When asked about what need the Green Bay Packers may not address in the draft, Demovsky points to the center spot as a position that they may be more inclined to wait till after the draft to tackle:
"The most likely choice there would be center, at least in the early rounds of the draft. And even if they take a center in the mid or late rounds, the chances of that player being ready to start as a rookie are small. It is a risk going with an unproven guy like JC Tretter, but don’t be surprised if Don Barclay gets a long look at center, too. It would be stunning if they didn’t address those other three spots in the draft."
Other needs mentioned in the article were inside linebacker, safety, tight end, and defensive line -- positions which the Packers are rumored to be leaning toward addressing in May's draft.
