The NFL schedule for next season has just been released, so here are the three biggest match-ups for the Green Bay Packers heading into their 2014 schedule:
Thursday Night Football, September 4th at Seattle Seahawks
The Green Bay Packers' biggest measuring stick moment of 2014 comes in a visit to the Pacific Northwest and the raucous 12th Man of the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
The last time these two teams locked up in the 2012 regular season, an officiating controversy marred what should have been a sure victory for the Packers in Seattle. An offensive pass interference call was blatantly missed on a Golden Tate touchdown catch, sending the Green Bay Packers to a disheartening 14-12 Week 3 loss.
Sunday Night Football, November 9th vs. Chicago Bears
The Bears' secondary wants to prove that they can contain Randall Cobb. The Packers want to prove that their still the big dogs in the NFC North.
Bears/Packers at Lambeau Field is as American as blue jeans and apple pie. The next chapter in their storied rivalry could go a long way in determining both a division champion and the fates of each team in 2014.
Sunday, November 30th vs. New England Patriots
In won't be Super Bowl XXXI, but it may feel like it.
It's Tom Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers in a dream regular season match-up for fans and television executives alike. If the Packers can keep consistent pressure on Brady, the Packers could pick up a lynchpin win for bigger and better things to come.
