After starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to their second-straight 50-point game in Sunday's annihilation of the Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field, Rodgers received some high praise from an NBA legend via Twitter.
NBA Hall-of-Famer Magic Johnson took to the social media service to give props to Rodgers, drawing a comparison to Johnson's most famous rival:
Aaron Rodgers reminds me of my good friend and rival Larry Bird. Aaron & Larry have similar qualities.

So the highest compliment I can give Aaron Rodgers, the best QB in the NFL, is to compare him to 3x NBA Champion Larry Bird!

Bird and Johnson's rivalry grew roots during the 1979 NCAA Championship game and further intensified as the 1980s wore on with the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers taking turns atop the NBA mountain.
