Just three days after he was cut by the Indianapolis Colts, guard-tackle Jamon Meredith has been signed by the Green Bay Packers.
Per Bob McGinn of the Journal Sentinel, "Meredith, 6 feet 5 inches and 312 pounds, rejoined the team that drafted him in the fifth round from South Carolina in 2009. He played tackle as a rookie, was waived in favor of tackle Breno Giacomini and, after being added to the practice squad, was signed by Buffalo to the active roster two weeks later."
Meredith has played for six teams besides Green Bay in his career. After he was cut by Tampa Bay in late August, he played 16 snaps for the Colts in four games this season.
According to McGinn, "Meredith has started 24 of 51 games, including four at right tackle for Buffalo in 2009, 12 at right guard for Tampa Bay in '12 and eight at left guard for the Bucs in '13."
With guards TJ Lang and Josh Sitton both questionable for Sunday night against the Chicago Bears, Meredith could very well see action.
