Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews has been struggling with a hamstring injury for the past few weeks, but the latest reports suggest he expects to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
"Yes, I plan to play," Matthews said Thursday on the Packers official website. "I'll be out there this Sunday. It's feeling good."
Matthews had 8 tackles in week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, but just five over the next two games. Matthews had one sack against the 49ers and one in week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Matthews has been a Pro Bowler in all four of his professional seasons.
