Green Bay Packers cornerback Casey Hayward has been sidelined since reinjuring his hamstring Aug. 23, but is on track for a return to action in Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Hayward had six interceptions last season but has yet to see the field this year, and while the Packers did call up cornerback James Nixon from the practice squad yesterday, positive reports out of Green Bay indicate that Hayward's recovery is on schedule and next Sunday is still the target date for his return to action.
The last official word from Mike McCarthy came last week on October 4th, and although McCarthy was terse as usual ("He's making progress." was all McCarthy was willing to divulge, the player practiced in pads last week and will be stepping up the intensity in practice this week to prepare for Sunday's game.
