The Green Bay Packers haven't missed the playoffs since 2008, but haven't won a Super Bowl since 2010. However, now that the Packers are 5-0, they have their sights set forgetting the memory of last year's NFC Championship Game loss by hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. Here are three reasons why the Packers will win the Super Bowl this season:
Underrated Pass Rush
The Packers' defense has 14 sacks this season, tied for third in the league, while giving up just 17 points per game, which also ranks third in the league. While the Packers' defensive unit doesn't get much love because all the attention goes to the offense, iti s good enough to get the Packers to the Super Bowl.
Loaded Weapons On Offense
The Packers are without Jordy Nelson, but the offense hasn't skipped a beat. Randall Cobb is having another impressive season and James Jones picked up right where he left off the last time he was in a Packers uniform. Davante Adams has battled injuries, but he will return and be his productive self at some point while rookie Ty Montgomery has shown that he can contribute when needed. Oh, there's also Eddie Lacy, one of the best RBs in the NFL.
Aaron Rodgers
He's the best QB in the NFL by far. Through five games, Rodgers is putting up absurd numbers, completing 73 percent of his passes for 1,236 yards, 13 TDs and just two INTs. With Rodgers playing this well, there won't be anyone else raising the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.
