With 2 games to go, Aaron Rodgers is the leading candidate for the 2011 NFL MVP. Rodgers was a shoe-in to win the award, after leading the Packers to a 13-0 start, but his candidacy took a hit yesterday when they dropped a close game to the Chiefs.
In addition to his teams accomplishments, Rodgers leads the NFL with 40 TD passes and is 4th in the league in passing yards. If the Packers win their last 2 contests, it is a virtual lock that he will be the first Packers player to win league MVP since Brett Favre. The only question will be if he will be the 2nd player in history to win the award unanimously, with Tom Brady being the first last year.
