The Gonzaga Bulldogs held the Saint Mary’s Gaels to just 31.1 percent from the floor in a 69-37 rout on Saturday afternoon.
Jenn Wirth led the Zags with 11 points and LeeAnne Wirth added in 10 more points. It wasn’t too high of a point total for the leading scorers, but considering that a total of 12 Zags scored points in the game, the love was more than definitely shared.
The Zags opened up the game with an 11-0 run that set the tone for something the Gaels could never recover. The Zags took a 12-4 lead into the first quarter and kept pace throughout the first half, going into halftime leading 30-16.
