One the best centers in Gonzaga’s history has snagged the bag. Zach Collins has agreed on a two-year, $35 million contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs. This deal secures Collins through the 2025-2026 season.
This contract extension comes at a bit of surprise due to all the injuries that Collins has dealt with over the years. Since 2019-2020, he has played in only 102 games over four seasons.
In 2019, Collins had a surgery to repair his left labrum and was sidelined for about four months while he was with the Portland Trail Blazers. In 2020, Collins had undergone successful surgery in repairing his left medial malleolus stress fracture but missed the entire 2020-2021 season.
