Women's tennis: Moldovan native signs on with Gonzaga

Vlada Medvedcova signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Gonzaga women’s tennis, head coach D.J. Gurule announced on Tuesday. Hailing from Chisinau, Moldova, Medvedcova was the No. 1 player on the Moldova National Team in the European Junior Championships from 2013 to 2016 and in the Tennis Europe Winter Cups.

“Vlada is going to bring a wealth of international experience to Gonzaga,” Gurule said in a statement. “Her passion and commitment to her development and to Gonzaga really set her apart during the recruiting process. We are looking forward to welcoming her to the Zag Family.
