On Sunday afternoon at the Stevens Center, the Gonzaga women’s tennis team improved their winning streak to four matches by defeating Eastern Washington University 7-0. It was a solid weekend for the Zags, as they went undefeated and improved to 7-2 on the season.
“We weren’t playing our best tennis and Eastern played a great match,” assistant coach Natalie Pluskota said. “When it comes down to it, we use our fitness and mentality to get through days like today.”
In doubles, Sophie Whittle and Graciela Rosas got the Zags off to a strong start by winning their match 6-1.
