Those are the words embedded into the fabric of redshirt junior Chandler Smith, whose toughness was fostered as a child while carrying out “a list of a thousand chores” during her upbringing on her family-owned ranch in Brewster, Washington.
Following a year as a reserve player, the 6-foot guard has slid into the starting lineup this season, providing, among other things, hard-nosed defense and rebounding, both of which have proven instrumental in Gonzaga’s 19-4 record.
