LAS VEGAS — After defeating the Dons of San Francisco Monday afternoon 65-53, Gonzaga will face off against the Toreros of San Diego in the West Coast Conference Tournament title game.
Prior to this tournament, San Diego had lost two of three to close out conference play, but has since caught fire in Las Vegas. Even though it defeated BYU on both occasions this year during the regular season, the Toreros' 61-56 victory over the Cougars was largely considered an upset and on Monday, they took care of Pacific by a score of 66-56.
San Diego utilized the size advantage it had over Pacific to dominate on the boards.
