With work done, ex-Richmond quarterback Kyle Lauletta says, 'Let the draft take care of itself'

Former Richmond quarterback Kyle Lauletta auditioned for NFL scouts on the Spiders' March 13 pro day at Robins Stadium.

From a public awareness standpoint, James Madison coach Mike Houston got the football rolling regarding the NFL potential of Richmond quarterback Kyle Lauletta. Before the Dukes and Spiders met in a November CAA game, Houston offered this ear-catching appraisal of Lauletta:

"He's one of the best in our league, he's one of the best in the country, and one that I think that you'll see playing on Sundays after college."

Four months later, that no longer seems like hyperbole from a coach trying to elevate an opposing player.
