With a breakout senior season, Gonzaga baseball’s Branson Trube attributes his success to his upbringing in Idaho and supportive coaching staff.
For this outfielder, baseball started at the age of 4 with T-ball. But it wasn’t until high school when he knew it was his passion. In fact, during childhood he dabbled in other sports, such as basketball.
An upbringing in Idaho prepared Trube to adapt to and play with the sometimes unpredictable and harsh weather conditions — playing in the hit or miss snowy or rainy weather of the spring, or 100 plus temperatures in the summers.
