On freshman weekend and the home opener, the Gonzaga Bulldogs women's soccer team (0-1-2), tied with the University of Oregon Ducks (1-1-2) at home on Saturday. The game was a hard fault battle as GU and Oregon would trade punches constantly throughout the game.
It was a nice and cool evening for the Zags as the offense pressured the Ducks. GU did a good job at putting the pressure on Oregon’s defense as they dominated the ball in the first ten minutes and didn’t allow the Ducks a shot.
But the Zag’s stout defense wouldn’t last long as Oregon's first shot was a goal as goalie Lyza Bosselmann dived too early for the ball and it slipped right past her for the score.
