The New Orleans Saints continue to work on the second and third level of free agency.
New Orleans hosted veteran Benny Cunningham for a visit on Monday, a source told The Advocate, but the running back will not be coming to the Saints. Cunningham agreed to terms to return to Chicago, the source said, where he spent the 2017 season.
A five-year veteran who spent his first four seasons with the Rams, Cunningham was mostly a third-down back for Chicago last season, carrying the ball only nine times but catching 20 passes out of the backfield.
New Orleans is set at running back with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara, but the Saints need somebody to compete for the No.
