Two wins over a Division II school and Tennessee weren't enough to impress the voters as Gonzaga dropped three spots in the coaches poll to No. 24. Gonzaga is still receiving votes in the AP poll, but has some ground to make up before climbing back in.
Again, the polls mean very little outside of providing a barometer for how good a team theoretically is. The Zags are getting the 29th most votes in the AP poll, sit at No. 24 in the coaches poll, and are No. 30 according to Ken Pomeroy. Overall, that seems to be a pretty consistent bet with what we have seen of this team.
