Rebounds:
Prior to tipping off against the Tigers, Gonzaga’s head coach Lisa Fortier wrote a few keys to the game on a whiteboard, and among those was rebounding.
The Zags hit the glass — hard — and outrebounded the Tigers 49-28. They had 31 defensive rebounds and 18 offensive boards for 19 second-chance points.
Kiara Kudron led the rebounding charge with 11 boards. Emma Wolfram grabbed nine boards, and Laura Stockton and Elle Tinkle had seven boards apiece.
The Zags, who typically outrebound their opponents by 7.7 boards, are now 18-4 when grabbing more boards than their opponent.
