James Madison football coach Mike Houston on Monday spoke of the “scrambling” associated with the Dukes’ Saturday game at the University of Richmond. He wasn’t talking about quarterbacks chased from the pocket.
Houston was talking about JMU fans trying to find tickets for the meeting at 8,200-seat Robins Stadium, which is sold-out.
In Richmond and within a 60-mile radius of the city, about 17,000 JMU alumni reside, as of 2016, according to a school spokesperson. Many of those are interested in being part of the Robins Stadium crowd, “and then our normal, loyal followers that attend a game in Harrisonburg.
