The good, the bad and the ugly of JMU vs. Stony Brook

After 30 minutes of play, and the result most expected between JMU football and the Stony Brook Seawolves has unfolded: a hard-nosed, aggressive football game. Both teams have been working through the ground and exchanging blows in the trenches, with all signs pointing to a four-quarter battle in the ’Burg.

The good: JMU nation

The sellout crowd in Bridgeforth Stadium is serving its role today as the 12th man for JMU. Stony Brook has been forced into four false-start calls, likely due to the drowning noises of the Dukes’ faithful.

Two false start calls in the same drive kept Stony Brook out of the red zone, and a false start on a field goal attempt pushed the Seawolves’ special teams unit out of scoring range, keeping at least three points off the board.
