The Texas Southern Tigers will be coming to Spokane on Dec. 4 to face the Gonzaga Bulldogs, the third-consecutive year the two teams will have met.
The Tigers are known for scheduling one of the hardest non-conference slogs in all of college basketball. Last season, their non-conference slate was ranked the toughest by Ken Pomeroy, and featured two homegames against DIII competition. They did, however, pull off wins over Baylor, Oregon, and Texas A&M, so it wasn’t all bad.
Last season, the Bulldogs beat the Tigers, 104-67, behind 19 point performances from Josh Perkins and Brandon Clarke.
