AUBURN — One question overshadowed all the rest at this time last year: who starts at quarterback?
That won’t be the case this time around. Sophomore Bo Nix is entrenched in that spot. The larger questions are at other positions.
Who steps up at running back now that JaTarvious Whitlow is now longer around? Who fills the four open starting spots on the offensive line? Who replaces Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson on the defensive line? What will a secondary that lost four of five starters look like? Who punts?
Auburn signed 26 newcomers in 2020 recruiting class that ranks seventh nationally, but the answers to some — or even most — of those questions may have already been on the roster last season.
