Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III was ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game at the Cincinnati Bengals with a head injury. Austin took a massive hit in the first quarter from Cincinnati linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither, who was called for defensive pass interference on the play. Austin, 25, briefly left the game but returned later in the drive and caught a 23-yard touchdown on the first play of the second quarter. Later in the game, Austin was on the receiving end of a hard hit by the Bengals' Cam Taylor-Britt. During the third quarter, the Steelers said Austin was being evaluated for a head injury, and soon after he was downgraded from questionable to out.
