KNOXVILLE — Special teams was a focal point of Tennessee football under the past coaching staff. While there are new coaches in charge, the importance put on special teams has not changed. Thursday, Tennessee gave increased attention to special teams as Jeremy Pruitt tries to figure out what pieces the Vols have, much like his puzzles on offense and defense.
“It’s one thing we’ve really tried to concentrate on,” Pruitt said on Thursday. “We’ve done a lot of drill work all spring. We’ve just now started doing some team stuff, just trying to learn some fundamentals and getting exactly what we want to get done.
