Collin Murray-Boyles collected 22 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks as host South Carolina finally picked up its first Southeastern Conference victory by defeating Texas 84-69 on Saturday night in Columbia, S.C. Murray-Boyles notched his eighth double-double this season and 10th of his two-year career as the Gamecocks (11-16, 1-13 SEC) played flawlessly most of the night to end a 13-game losing streak. They earned their first win since beating Presbyterian on Dec. 30. Murray-Boyles made 9-of-16 shots before fouling out with 4:25 remaining. Jamarii Thomas added 15 by going 12-of-13 from the free-throw line as the Gamecocks scored 15 of their final 18 points at the line and converted 34 of 45 free throws.
