Ex-Gonzaga forward Sean Mallon landed his first head coaching job at Ferris High School, NW Preps Now reported on Wednesday.
Mallon played with Gonzaga from 2003 to 2007 and also graduated from Ferris High School. Mallon averaged 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds over his collegiate career. Mallon excelled at Ferris High, where he finished his high school career with back-to-back Washington State Class 4A runner-up finishes.
Mallon was never the star of the team. My friends and I called him Sean "The Shirt" because of his penchant for wearing t-shirts underneath his jersey. Mallon was never the quickest player on the team.
