Versatile New Orleans tight end Taysom Hill is done for the season due to a knee injury sustained during Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the Saints confirmed Monday.
NFL Network reported Hill has a torn left ACL and "additional damage" before Saints interim coach Darren Rizzi confirmed the season-ending verdict Monday afternoon.
Hill was carted off the field with 4:36 remaining in the fourth quarter after injuring his knee while picking up a first down with a 2-yard run off a direct snap on fourth-and-1. He was tackled by Rams cornerback Cobie Durant.
"It's the worst," Saints quarterback Derek Carr said after the game.
