Rutgers incoming freshman guard Dylan Harper underwent elective knee surgery and will miss four to six weeks of the team's offseason program, coach Steve Pikiell told multiple outlets Friday. Pikiell said Harper had the surgery earlier this week and will be present for all team activities despite not being able to practice. A McDonald's All-American, Harper had a knee injury during his senior year of high school but was able to return later in the season. Harper is the No. 3 overall prospect and the No. 1 shooting guard in the Class of 2024, per the 247Sports composite. Harper, together with five-star forward Ace Bailey and three other players, make up a Rutgers class that ranked third in the country behind only Duke and Alabama, per the same composite rankings.
