Rookie safety Darnell Savage has made a strong impression on Packers in advance of training camp

GREEN BAY — The players may be enjoying their final few weeks of vacation before training camp kicks off on July 25, but Davante Adams isn’t taking a break from his campaign to promote rookie safety Darnell Savage as the next big thing on the Green Bay Packers' defense.

When the team’s official Instagram account posted on Monday a photo of Savage, the second of the club’s two first-round picks, in action during the mandatory minicamp with an all-caps comment (“BORN READY”) and a hashtag (#MondayMotivation), there was the Packers’ two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, chiming in.
