For those who thought Kirk Cousins would be the Minnesota Vikings' one significant free-agent splash, think again.
Former New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks DT Sheldon Richardson is signing a one-year deal with the Vikings, ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported Friday. Richardson, who was traded from the Jets to Seattle last summer in exchange for a second-rounder and WR Jermaine Kearse, joins Pro Bowlers Linval Joseph and Everson Griffen and rising star Danielle Hunter on what could rival the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFL's best four-man front.
Richardson, the 13th overall pick by the Jets in 2013, was Defensive Rookie of the Year and a Pro Bowler as a sophomore before the wheels started to come off his tenure with Gang Green.
