Ivy League schools will be able to compete for the Football Championship Subdivision's national championship starting in 2025, ESPN reported Wednesday. The conference champion will receive an automatic bid into the FCS playoff field, per the report. Football had been the only sport in which Ivy League teams could not compete for an NCAA national title. According to the report, Ivy League student-athletes came up with the proposal and it was approved Tuesday by the Ivy League Council of Presidents. Harvard (8-2), Dartmouth (8-2) and Columbia (7-3) all finished with 5-2 records in Ivy League play in 2024. --Field Level Media
