KNOXVILLE — Trying to get Tennessee football coach Jeremy Pruitt to offer up praise has been a tough task this spring. Pruitt has been tight-lipped, and it didn’t change following the Vols’ first scrimmage on Saturday.
The one thing Pruitt took away as a positive? The simple fact they got to practice outside — in dreary, wet, 40-degree weather.
“To me,” he said, “it was a big deal.”
“When we looked at the weather last night, it didn’t look too promising, so the thing I was concerned about was after eight days this is kind if a test, you want to see what you got,” Pruitt added.
