LINCOLN — Tyjon Lindsey was supposed to go to Oregon. At least that was the plan.
The 4-star wide receiver loved Scott Frost's offense. He was clicking with running back De'Anthony Thomas on visits to Eugene, Oregon. Thomas was telling the high school sophomore all the things he could do in Frost's offense as a Duck.
But Frost left for UCF, and so Lindsey backed away from Oregon and ended up at Nebraska.
Which makes this whole situation in Lincoln a pretty sweet deal for Lindsey, he said after practice Saturday.
"I was all said and done to go to Oregon and then he left, so it was like a dream come true now that it's here," Lindsey said.
