Phil Savage will be leaving his role as executive director of the Senior Bowl, one of the biggest pre-NFL draft events, as of May 15, according to spokesman Rob Lehocky.
Savage, 53, who ran the event for the past six years, and the Senior Bowl will be "mutually parting ways." The Mobile Arts and Sports Association has created a search committee to help choose Savage's replacement.
It's not clear what is next for Savage, a former NFL general manager and scouting veteran, who has lived near the Senior Bowl's home in Mobile, Ala.
