Oklahoma boosted its 2018 football roster with two preferred walk-on commitments – one with a familiar last name and the other at a necessary position.
Isaac Stoops, the son of legendary Sooners coach Bob Stoops, listed his college football intention with a five-word message via social media: “I’m staying home. Boomer Sooner.”
Stoops joins his twin brother Drake Stoops as joining the OU program as a preferred walk-on.
Earlier on Saturday, Zach Edwards announced he’d committed to the Sooners as a preferred walk-on as well. Edwards is a long snapper from Azle, Texas and will help fill a place of need at the position following the graduation of four-year starter Wesley Horky.
