NORMAN — The north end of Gaylord Family—Oklahoma Memorial Stadium will get a new scoreboard without losing its current look.
The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents officially approved plans for the scoreboard Wednesday at a meeting in Norman.
The scoreboard, which has long been part of Phase II of OU’s stadium renovation, will be three times larger but won't disturb the clock tower frame on the stadium’s exterior. The current video board has been in place since 2007.
This new board will cover 2,356 square feet (38 feet high and 62 feet wide) and will be dedicated to live video and replays.
